Chai One
Chai One is comfort, boiled to order. Think London Fog — but instead of a quick steep under steamed milk, we do it the old way: a bold, expertly sourced black tea brewed hard in 100% milk — no water, ever — rolled up to a boil until it turns deep, creamy, and full-bodied. It's a strong brew with a rich, robust taste and an invigorating aroma — tea that stands up to the milk instead of hiding behind it — with no sugar added, because none is needed: the milk turns naturally sweet as it boils. And the tea never leaves the cup: the bag stays in, still steeping for as long as you drink it, so every sip lands a shade bolder than the last. No syrups, no shortcuts. Just tea, milk, heat, and patience. Morning, afternoon, or whenever the day needs a warm reset, this is the pick-me-up. One pot. One boil. Chai One.
Why There's No Sugar
The boil does the sweetening. As milk cooks down, its natural sugars concentrate and lightly caramelize — so the cup lands gently sweet without a grain added. No sugar, no syrups, no honey. If you've only had chai lattes built from concentrate, this will recalibrate you.
The Old Way
This is chai the way it's actually made across South Asia — the doodh patti method: milk and tea leaves, nothing else in the pot. London Fog's older, stronger cousin.
